The BNSF railroad will be conducting track and tie work through the Chicago area over the next several weeks. Work will be taking place in Western Springs on September 8th from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM to replace railroad ties.
Minor disruptions at the crossings within the community are expected to last 10-15 minutes while work crews and equipment pass through the area. BNSF flaggers will be present on the site during the work and passing trains may be required to blow their horn while passing through the work area.
