The Davey Tree Expert Company will be in the Village to begin the EAB treatment program today. They will remain in the Village until they complete the treatment of the 314 ash trees in this cycle. The program for this year consists of the reapplication of the Tree-AGE chemical treatment to the ash treas previously treated in 2012. The treatment process requires a trunk injection that will keep the ash tree safe from EAB for 2 years. The Village recently performed a study to observe the effectiveness of this treatment and determined that the ash trees treated in 2012 showed little to no change in health since they were treated.
