The pavement rehabilitation of Elm Street is expected to begin on Friday, August 25. It is anticipated that this work will continue through Tuesday, August 29, barring any unexpected delays.
Elm Street will be closed to thru traffic between Central and Lawn while the work is occurring. Elm Street residents and emergency vehicles will have access to Elm from Grand or Woodland. There will be signage placed on Grand and Woodland at 47th and Burlington, indicating the street closure. Residents on these streets should have access to their homes as north and southbound traffic on Grand and Woodland should be able to cross Elm, except when the paving operations are working in the intersections.
Homes with driveways impacted on Elm Street will receive a notice from the Village regarding the need to park on nearby streets until the work is complete.
The contractor will also patch asphalt pavement at Central & 47th Street and Central & Burlington Avenue.
