Today the contractor is placing concrete on the west side of Harvey Avenue. There will be a lot of activity and expect construction vehicles will be blocking the roadway often today. The contractor will be sawcutting the new concrete later this evening. This work will likely extend beyond 8pm similarly to the sawcutting that was done on the east side pavement. We apologize for this noise but it is imperative the saw cutting be performed the same day as the pavement is placed.
The Village is coordinating with ComEd to relocate two wood power poles (one at 42nd and Harvey the other at 41st and Harvey). We had hoped this would have been done already but scheduling issues on ComEd's end has delayed the work. Once the poles are relocated the pavement at the 41st Street intersection and near the 42nd Street pole will be placed.
Trash and recycling will be picked up tomorrow (delayed a day this week due to the 4th of July holiday). West side Harvey residents should place their bins near the street this evening as per usual for Friday pickup.
