The contractor must sawcut the new concrete pavement as soon as it has hardened enough to perform the sawcut. This work is critical to ensure the concrete cracks at the planned pavement joint locations so it must be done as soon as the concrete is hardened enough (typically 4-8 hours after placement depending on weather conditions). We expect they will start the sawcutting work at 47th Street and work northward. It is likely the sawcutting will extend in to the evening/night tonight. We apologize for this noise in advance.
