The lack of rain the last couple of weeks has helped keep the project work moving forward. Unfortunately, the lack of rain also has lead to an increase in the spread of construction dust that is tracked by vehicles and construction equipment within the work zone on Central Avenue. The contractor has been periodically sweeping the road with a street sweeper truck. We are working with the contractor to increase the contractor's efforts to combat construction dust. The contractor can't 100% stop the spread of construction dust but the Village is requesting additional efforts be made to try and better contain dust spread. The road between Elm and 47th Street is currently closed to thru traffic in an effort to reduce traffic. We apologize for this issue.
