Continued monitoring of samples from the Ridgewood Subdivision do show improvement to the iron levels coming from the distribution system as was last reported during the September 10th update. Staff will continue to monitor the water quality as Public Works personnel continue with the hydrant flushing through the community.
Hydrant flushing in Ridgewood is expected to start on September 26th. The Village has also contacted Baxter & Woodman, & Associates' water division to have an engineer review the scenario occurring in Ridgewood to provide a more complete analysis of what is occurring and what may be the cause of the increased iron.
