The Central Council of Mayors is developing a Transportation Resilience Plan. The goal of the plan is to reduce the flood risk of the transportation system in the Central Council of Mayors region by identifying local flooding projects and establishing multijurisdictional projects to increase the possibility for state or federal funding opportunities.
The Village of Western Springs is one of 15 communities involved in the creation of the Central Council of Mayors' draft Transportation Resilience Plan and contributed significant input regarding the flooding issues in our area.
The draft Transportation Resilience Plan has been posted for review, and the public comment period will be open for two weeks, through Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
