The additional leak detection survey for the Ridgewood subdivision was completed and it found no additional leaks in the subdivision that would be contributing factors to the cloudy water that is being experienced in the southern portion of the subdivision.
With all other factors regarding the infrastructure in the subdivision eliminated, water operators at the water plant will be looking at adjustments to the current water chemistry leaving the water plant to determine if water quality can be improved.
The Village plans to be operating off of the permanent chemical feed system through the day tanks by the end of this week. Operation through the day tanks will allow the full SCADA system to control the chemical feeds as opposed to operators controlling it by hand as we have been operating. The inclusion of the SCADA system should allow the water plant to make quicker and more accurate adjustments to the water output quality from the plant.
