EBI Consulting - Invitation to Comment Letter (Updated 12/10/20)

As noted during public meetings and in information posted on the Village website, permit submittals for small cell and/or 5G antennae are expected in the future. These permit applications are likely to be submitted by telecom providers or their consultants. In addition to the Village’s detailed permit application and review process, the telecom providers may be subject regulations of State, Federal, or other governmental agencies. This will possibly include research involving utilities, infrastructure, historic properties, and other topics. The Village is posting this type of information in the ongoing promise of transparency. However, if you find the information provided on the website to be confusing or overly technical, we understand and will gladly offer to have Village staff speak with you to help explain the information. Feel free to contact either Martin Scott, Director of Community Development, at mscott@wsprings.com or Matt Supert. Director of Municipal Services, at msuprt@wsprings.com.

Linked below is a letter and supporting documents pertaining to EBI Consulting’s (on behalf of Verizon Wireless) request for village staff comments pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act only and not the local zoning review.  Per the documents, new small cell antenna equipment will be proposed for a new poles at the southwest corner of 51st Street and Woodland Avenue, and at the southwest corner of Western Avenue and Oak Street.

Update 10/22/20: The Village has provided the following response today, October 22nd to Verizon Wireless.

Update 12/03/20: The Village has received the following files from the FCC dated December 1, 2020.
