[ARCHIVED] Tree Storm Damage Removal - All Branches Should Be Brought Out to the Parkway No Later Than 08/14/20

Residents who have tree branches and downed limbs from private or public trees may place their branches onto the parkway for Public Works to pickup and chip. You do not need to call the Village to notify us of branch pickup. Crews are canvasing the entire community. Please have all branches out to the parkway no later than 08/14/20. Any branches placed out to the curb after that date are not guaranteed to be picked up by Public Works.

Please:

  • Do not place branches or limbs in the road. All branches or limbs should be placed in the grass area, behind the curb on the parkway.
  • Place limbs and branches only. Public works cannot remove downed trees from private property, and does not have a chipper large enough to chip up a full sized tree. Residents will need to contact a tree company to remove a private tree.
  • All limbs and branches placed at the parkway must exhibit storm damage. Limbs and branches that are cut and do not exhibit storm damage will not be removed by the Public Works Division.

Please be aware that a large number of trees and branches in the Village came down as a result of the 08/10/20 storm event. Public Works crews are actively cleaning up the community and are prioritizing removal of branches and trees from the street. Equipment and resources are currently limited due to the storm impact on neighboring communities. The cleanup process may take several days to reach the entire Village. We kindly ask that residents please be patient while the cleanup process is ongoing.
