At the December 5th public meeting, staff and residents discussed having a second public meeting in February. The second meeting was also referenced in the December 5, 2019 Summary and Response to All Written Comments. On January 27th, James J. Benes , the design engineer, and Village staff provided the Village Board with an update to the roadway design, based on resident feedback. After further review, staff has determined that there is not enough new information available to present at a second public meeting in February. James J. Benes & Associates is awaiting feedback from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and will soon be moving into Phase II design, where the finer details of the project are developed. Once Phase II is nearing completion, staff can review and determine when another public meeting will be scheduled. Staff will continue to update residents on the project via the Village website.
