Residents of Central Avenue and Elm Avenue met with Village staff on December 5, 2019 to discuss the preliminary design of the Central Avenue Reconstruction and Stormwater Improvements Project. The purpose of the meeting was to review the scope of the project, outline project funding and to collect comments and questions from the public. The attendance at the meeting was exceptional and excellent feedback was provided. All submitted questions and comments were collected and collated and the Village has provided responses with all of the information available today. James J. Benes and Associates, the engineering firm designing the project, will be providing a brief update on the project at the Board Meeting this evening (1/27/2020) with a focus on the outcome of the 12/5/2019 public meeting. Staff is in the process of scheduling a second resident meeting in mid-late February.
