ComED will be conducting system reliability improvements on overhead and underground facilities within the Village from 06/27 through 08/10. Work will include replacement of overhead utility lines and utility poles and directional boring for underground facilities. Temporary lane closures on some streets may be required for the work to be completed. Utility poles may be placed in the parkway while crews complete staging for the work
Please exercise care if you encounter work crews in the following areas:
- Gilbert Avenue (between Elm & Cossitt)
- Johnson Avenue (between 45th & Wolf)
- Wolf Road (between 49th & Courtland)
These improvements will help provide increased electric reliability in our area. Residents located in the proposed project areas should receive a notification from ComED in the mail approximately one week prior to the commencement of work in their area. Please see the attached documents for an example of the notification letter and the project area map.
