IDOT 55th Street Project

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is working on 55th Street improvements from I-294 to Plainfield Road. 55th Street is under IDOT jurisdiction and this is an IDOT project. The project includes the installation of new traffic signals at Wolf/55th, as well as resurfacing, widening, establishing a shared-use path on the north side of 55th Street between Wolf and Laurel, and new trees/parkway restoration along the path. 
IDOT advised the project is anticipated to be complete in November 2024.
