The Recreation Center and Grand Avenue Community Center will remain closed to the general public through February.
Please note that both facilities will be open for specific programs. Masks are required to enter the facility.
Staff are in the office during our normal working hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM, to answer phone calls. Messages left after hours will be returned between those hours.

ALL GYMS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR OPEN GYM.
Programs for the disabled are made available through a joint agreement with South East Association for Special Parks and Recreation (SEASPAR).
The department's largest annual (Saturday of Memorial Day weekend) event is the 5K-10K Tower Trot, which attracts more than 1,200 runners annually and is seen as one of the premier events of its kind in the Chicago area.

Park District
The Recreation Department does not own or operate the Village parks. The parks are owned and maintained by the Western Springs Park District, which is a separate taxing authority. The 11 parks in the Village host an assortment of recreational activities sponsored by the Recreation Department. For park permit requests or more information on the Park District, please call 708-246-4225 or visit the Western Springs Park District website.
