Fire & Emergency Medical Services

The Department of Fire and EMS is comprised of  personnel operating out of two fire stations. It is staffed mostly by paid-on-call personnel along with full-time, contracted paramedics / firefighters. Paid-on-call personnel are all Village residents or otherwise work for the Fire Department with the contract service.

Fire Stations & Apparatus

Fire Station No. 1 is located directly north of Village Hall at 4353 Wolf Road. Fire Station No. 2 is located at 5501 Grand Avenue. Out of these stations, the Fire Department operates two engines, one ladder truck, two advanced life-support equipped ambulances, and one command vehicle.


The Western Springs Fire Department is a member of MABAS (Mutual Aid Box Alarm System) Division 10.


The Western Springs Fire & Rescue Association supports the Department through community programs in addition to directly funding additional training and equipment.
