Introduction to Lacrosse-Boys

Spring Program

Introduction to Lacrosse is for boys in grades K-2. This is a great way to learn the fundamentals of lacrosse and is a beginner’s only class with instruction on learning lacrosse fundamentals. Scrimmages will be played to increase knowledge of lacrosse skills being learned. A soft ball is used and players will need a stick.

2. Registration form can be returned in person or mailed to the Western Springs Recreation Department, 1500 Walker Street, Western Springs, IL. 60558 or faxed to 708-246-9070. Checks should be made payable to  Western Springs Recreation Department.

Registration is open to all including Hinsdale, Lagrange, Lagrange Park, Countryside, Riverside, Brookfield, North Riverside, Clarendon Hills, Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, Pleasantdale, Willowbrook, Downer Grove and all surrounding areas.

Dates and Fees

Session runs on Sundays from April 9- May 21, 2017 at Lyons Township High School South Campus
Stick only and soft ball class.

Price includes:  Coaching, practices, field fees, referee fees, field supplies, and a reversible jersey.

Volunteer Commitment

This is a parent/volunteer run program that depends heavily upon your involvement. Volunteer coaches are needed. No experience necessary. Newcomers encouraged! Do not be intimidated—WILL TRAIN! Coaching Clinic provided. For more information, contact Kelly Letten or call 708-246-9070 ext 450.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: K-2nd grade will use a soft ball. All other equipment is optional. 3rd thru 8th grade: Lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, lacrosse or hockey helmet with face guard; shoulder pads, elbow pads, lacrosse gloves, and cup.
